Also on the 1st December 08, The super kitch cosmic smily face shone down on us all here in Australia. This cant be anything but awesomely good.
Photo op! my housemate moller and I, smile with the sky.
The three brightest celestial bodies (i think) re-arranged themselves so Jupiter and Venus were the eyes and a crescent moon the mouth. Sucked to be in New york on this night because instead of a happy face they got a upside down frown. lol
From the depths of my evil computer lab I bring you a B&W Elvis video clips, remastered or should I say reverse engineered, as some psychodelic waste land…
ABOVE: this my mutated version
BELOW: The original version which I haven’t touched, don’t be afraid to play both simultaneously
…just experiementing with whats possible in resolume 3 at the moment. And Elvis seemed like a nice kitch figure to play with.
Monday 1st December 2008 Moller and I walked down the road for live drawing hosted by DrSketchy’s @ the brisbane hotel. I couldn’t find any of my “real” drawing gear so i dragged along my tablet pc instead. I don’t actual consider myself good at life drawing.. and as such its more about trying to be a little less shit than last time.
This is the first time Ive taken my tablet pc to a life drawing session. Its fast paced, so using a computer at times caught me off guard (turning the page is easier than creating a new file)… but the ablity to undo rocked as well having the fastest colour pallet, and biggest selection of brushes in the room
I suppose the real benefit of digital drawing is its easier to share in our web 2.0 world.

It’s always great to VJ at music Festivals and Stereosonic at the Claremont Show Grounds in Perth was no exception. Well organised and with a abundant supply of music lovers to soak up the vibes.
above: Short snippets of live visuals recorded on the day. The quality is not great but you really had to be there on the day… besides theres always next time.
In yet another win for the walls of Perth! Arts collective Ololo have joined forces with production company WBMC to do there own Street Projection project in Perth. Its called Re-Face and its funded by the New iArts Grant. They’ll be calling for artwork to be submitted. Hopefully you’ll all support them.
The site is not fully operational yet but a quick blurb is already in place.
which you can check out here… http://www.abc.net.au/tv/reface/
The Ololo collective are very active in the Perth Street art scene, in fact Ololo member and web guru Steve Berrick often lends a hand with street projecting. Hopefully we can make Perth the Electronic Street Art capital!

Once again we hit the streets of Perth to repaint it with some light. A nice blank wall beside a empty lot in a semi industrial area proved a perfect spot. We started as usual with some drawing with the graphics tablet, VJzoo turned up and we where now projecting with three light cannons and totally resurfacing the building!
I experimented on the participants with some new audio visual mixing and the guys from Re-Face came past for a chat and to do some filming.
